Ana Murphy is a model who has been in the industry for five years, but her journey wasn’t easy, and getting to where she is was due to grit and determination.
In the beginning, she had her setbacks; she decided to change her approach, and that’s how she got to where she is today, as one of the most successful models in Latin America.
Why Ana Murphy?
The studio chose her for me, but from the start, I liked her—she’s very elegant, international, and easy to remember. It became my personal brand, so as an independent model, I also kept the same name.
How did you get into the industry?
A friend of mine, who met me in 2019, told me, “Start as a model, I know you can do very well,” but I was very hesitant and told him I wasn’t capable. Until one day, he told me he’d given my contact information to a friend of his who owned a studio. He contacted me, explained and showed me how everything worked, and that’s how I learned about the industry and decided to give it a try.

At what point did you realize you had to make a change to get better results?
From the beginning, I knew great things could be achieved in this industry, but after a year, I realized it had to be done with love and discipline. After a year of not working well, feeling financially strained, and lacking direction, I decided to focus on changing and growing in all areas of my life.
How was your process at the studio?
The studio provided me with all the tools I needed for my connections (computer, camera, makeup, ring lights, all the material), but I think it lacked a bit in terms of training. I learned most of what I learned empirically, and I learned new things every day through my connections.
What difficulties did you encounter when becoming independent?
The truth is, becoming independent was very easy because I’ve always been very disciplined in what I do and I already knew what I’d learned before, so I can say that the only difficult thing was living with someone else. Living with someone in the same space where I work is quite difficult.
How do you see the industry today?
It’s still very profitable even though there’s too much competition, but if you have something that sets you apart, and you do it with love, patience, and discipline, you can achieve very good things. Financially, it’s still very profitable, but you have to put in more effort to build loyalty and make yourself known.
How did Streamate change your life?
My life took a 180-degree turn. I come from a very humble family, and thanks to Streamate, I can now have many things I only dreamed of before. I’ve acquired many material things, but I’ve also grown as a person. Here, you also learn a lot from the users. I even learned English on the site. Financially, I’m calm and fulfilling my dreams. It’s also given me a lot of self-confidence. My self-esteem has increased, my goals in life have increased, and my desire to excel has increased. My ambition has increased, and I think that’s a good thing. I don’t like to be complacent.

What do you dream of?
I dream of continuing to grow as a model because I know I can still give more. I dream of having investments in real estate. I dream of continuing to have financial stability because nothing is certain; the only thing I can be sure of is my desire to continue giving my all every day. I dream of giving my mom a better life.
Do you admire any Streamate models? Why?
I admire Kristin Kavallari. She’s an American model, but I admire her because she always has an incredible attitude: kind and smiling; always showing her best angles; and because she’s been in the industry for many years and still values and loves it. Many models, after several years, become lazy to go online or do so halfheartedly, but despite all this time, she still does it with love, and that’s reflected in most competitions.
If you had to give three pieces of advice to a new model, what would they be?
1. Work on your self-esteem and confidence before starting out in this world, because the more you love yourself, the more you show it to others, and if you love yourself, others will. And if you don’t, you’ll let comments affect you, and it can play tricks on your peace of mind.
2. Have a good attitude every day, because every day is a new beginning, and if you start with negativity, you’ll find that. Keep in mind that every day will be wonderful and maintain that belief. Also, if you have a good attitude, smile, and show your best side, you’ll always have an audience.
3. Find what you’re good at, what will set you apart, find your personal brand.
What would you say to Ana Murphy from 5 years ago?
That starting out in this world can be the best decision you can make, and I feel very proud of what I’ve accomplished and what’s to come. I would tell him to focus and not waste time. I would tell him that I never changed my way of being and treating others, which has brought me to where I am today, kind and humble.
What do you like most about Streamate?
Everything! It’s a very easy site to work with, very rewarding, you see good results if you work well, it’s very efficient, always willing to solve problems, takes the models into account for everything, offers many opportunities for improvement, trains, and is always striving to improve.
