A few quick updates for all Streamate Models. Don’t miss the new survey at the bottom!

Coming Soon: HD720 Encoder Settings

For those of you using the External Encoder, we will soon be releasing new settings files to let you stream in an even higher resolution: HD720.

HD720 video is a higher quality than the current HD settings. The video is crisper and more detailed. Because of this, HD720 will become the preferred streaming quality on Streamate.

When it launches, HD720 will have the same placement bonus as the current HD settings. A week or two after the settings are released, we will adjust how placement works; the HD720 performers will have the highest bonus, and performers using the current HD settings will be right behind them. Remember that video quality is just one of the many factors that affect placement (read more about Placement).

We will be sending out more information in the near future, including the technical requirements for running HD720.

Coming Soon: Female Muscle Category

We’re pleased to announce a new Muscle category coming soon for female performers! This category already exists for male performers, and will be available to all performers sometime in the next few weeks. If you feel Muscle describes you better than Athletic or any of the other body types, you’ll want to make sure you’re in this new category!

To update your profile, click here to go to the Personal Statistics section of your profile. Next to the Build category, select “muscular.” That’s it! After your change is approved, you’ll appear in the Muscle category as soon as it appears.

Please note that changing your build may remove you from another build category you may already be in. Choose the category that best represents your body type!

Highest Gold Show Contributor Feature

Our data shows that the Highest Contributor feature is making a big difference! Many performers using it have seen increased spending on Gold Shows as members try to take the #1 contributor spot! If you run Gold Shows, we highly recommend you try out this feature in your next show.

You can read more about this feature on the Gold Show page on Streamate Help. Short Survey: Mobile Devices

To help us learn more about you, we may send out brief surveys from time to time. This will help us collect data that could turn into improvements to the Streamate Models site down the road!

Group Messaging

We’ve had a really good response to the new Group Messaging tool. A lot of you are using it to help bring more traffic into your rooms! In order to help you understand this feature better, here are a few tips for using Group Messages.

Group messages shouldn’t be too vague. You should include a reason for the member to come visit you. Don’t just say “Come and see me.” Instead, say “My shows have been really hot lately, I’d love to see you there!”

Group messages also shouldn’t be too specific. Don’t say “I’m running a special show at 7pm.” Due to time zones and approval time, members could get your message too late or could miss the show and be disappointed. Instead, say “I’m running special rates all weekend,” or “I’ve been loving Gold Shows lately, come try one out!” You also shouldn’t mention specific member names. Make sure the message will make sense to the whole group.

Your message shouldn’t ask for favors or exchanges. Don’t ask members to favorite or rate you, and don’t say “If I make $100 tomorrow I’ll do a special show!” This is not the purpose of these messages. To prevent possible fraud, these messages will be rejected.

Spring Cleaning

Now is a great time to go through your account and make sure everything looks polished! Here are a few ideas for spring cleaning your Streamate Models account:

•Read through the “About Me” section of your profile. Make sure your info is accurate and update your profile text.

Freshen up your photos. Take a new bio pic or add some images to your profile.
Check your Tags. Remove any tags you no longer want on your profile.
Is your video crisp and clear? Check out the Improving Streaming Quality and Speed help page. If you use the External Encoder, make sure you’re using one of our recommended settings files (last updated June 2013).
Is your ranking as high as it could be? Go through the My Ranking page to see if there are any improvements you can make.
Are you charging enough? Try testing out different rates, then use the Rate Analysis tool to figure out what is working best for you!
Refresh your account and keep on streaming!

Bye Bye Bline App

If you are a fervent Streamate fan an an Apple freak you know that you had to download an app to be able to enjoy Streamate to its fullest. The app called Bline was a third party app that allowed you to use Streamate.com without the Apple restrictions with live media. That time has come, bye bye Bline you won’t be missed;) You can now enjoy Streamate.com directly from your Iphone without any third party app needed. The result, the best mobile experience ever! The quality is as good as the quality you will experience on your desktop. That makes Streamate mobile the best live cam mobile site out there. Nobody can really compete as of now with what Streamate achieved in terms of quality of video and audio directly on your mobile.

Welcome to the New Streamate 3.0

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Today Streamate is releasing it’s new interface and the backbone of it’s future new features. Welcome to Streamate 3.0!

What changed

Streamate mail goal in his important release was to modernize the look and feel of its interface while not alienating its current user base. If you are an existing user, all your favorite features are there, they’ve just have been redesigned and improved. The modernize approach consist of making better use of the space throughout the entire site, bringing focus on the models and consolidating navigational systems where possible. In other word, a new kick ass design;) Streamate now embrace a bold flat user interface with simplified navigation and clean content space. At the same time you will probably realize that the site is now responsive and somewhat modular. Whether you are looking at the site from your desktop, laptop, tablet or even phone you will see the site with an optimal viewing experience no matter what size your screen is. For those of you that have very large screen the change is even more obvious.

New features?

Hell yes! The new Streamate 3.0 comes with a large amount of new features and new redesign for a better experience. Even if you don’t see all the new features immediately, they are all under the hood so you can enjoy better, faster stream. Better video and audio experience and with a new chat redesign you will enjoy a better chatting experience with your favorite models.

You also probably noticed that some elements have been moved around. This is the result of intensive tests with you the users to determine what you were expecting from Streamate. And you’ve been heard:)

The search have considerably improved as well including tags in your search and no more refresh needed on the homepage with the new auto-refresh that shows you live the models that are live and the ones that are not anymore. Those will go away automatically so no more disappointment when you click on a model, you know she’s live.

The user account section has also been improved to make it easier for you to manager your preferences, your favorite models and all your personal information.

I probably forget half of the new features packed in the new Streamate 3.0 but I’ll keep you updated as Streamate releases its new features in the future whether they are totally invisible to the user or hidden in the background. Either or Streamate is making things better for you and for the models. What are these tags about?

You probably noticed a new feature on the site on each model profile. This new section called “My Tags” is exactly what it means, tags. It allows you to tag a model with specific keywords that are relevant to the mode, her show and whatever you want. Of course tags are reviewed by the Streamate staff, in case you were planning on writing something very inappropriate;) The goal is to help you find models based on those tags. Chances are that if a model has been tagged multiple times for the term “squirt”, she’s probably squirting in her show. It allows you to know in advance what the model is about and what her show will look like. That way you are most unlikely gonna be disappointed. So if you didn’t use that feature yet, go ahead, browse your favorite models or your least favorite even and tag them:) There’s a limit of 5 tags per performer bu no worries, you can also change them anytime you want, delete them even if you changed your mind along the way.

Widescreen

You probably noticed for a little while now that Streamate is slowly switching to a 16:9 widescreen ratio. (16:9) You are probably wondering why Streamate changed the aspect ratio of the models rooms. The standard TV that’s been around since the mid-50s has an aspect ratio of The standard TV that’s been around since the mid-50s has an aspect ratio of 4:3. Nowadays, the new HDTV standard is 16:9, so it made perfectly sense that Streamate offers you the best option possible for your viewing experience. If you think about it, your TV is probably 16:9 already unless you have an old 1950 tv;) Your phone is most likely 16:9, your computer screen is most likely 16:9, so really it just matches the devices you have at home. For you, it’s a win-win situation:) You will see the stream even bigger and in an even better HD quality.

You might still see some models with a 4:3 video stream, just be patient, they are either upgrading or don’t know yet about it. Feel free to let them know because ultimately it’s all about your experience:)
