That sucks…BUT there’s hope for all of you that will be spending time with family, friends, lovers, mistresses…and whatever the case may be. I’ve decided, and by I’ve decided it means I’ve decided so don’t go sending an email to support asking them what the fuck is going on, as I write this they have absolutely NO CLUE so bare with me for a second. I’ve decided to do my own little contest. Oh of course it’s nowhere close to what #smbunny will do for you, but it’s still a little something. This is totally improvised so let’s make it fun. What I want YOU to do is to be creative. So here’s MY rules…and again bare with me I’m make it them as I write too.
- Pick a social media of your choice. But let’s get the weird ones out of the way so it has to be either Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat..or even Youtube!
- You get the point, you have to deal with each network restrictions, if you choose youtube you obviously can be creative for an hour, Snapchat 8 seconds etc…
- Do WHATEVER you want BUT stay PG so I can share that everywhere without being concerned with nudity or anything inappropriate. AND of course something related to Easter…somehow. It’s better if everybody has the same restriction and the same theme.
- Submit as many as you want. If you have time to kill, make 10 pictures on instagram, 20 videos on youtube, 10 blog post no Facebook…anything you want.
- Tag ME of course on the social network you use that will make it easier for me, myself and I to track down everything.
- Use the hashtag #NotSMBunny, that’s what i will consider as participating in that “contest”…of course a follow or a like will be much much appreciated:)
- Now how do I decide who win? That’s where it’s subjective as fuck! I get to decide who’s creative or not. BUT here’s how you can impress me and make me rule for you. The more people you get to like or retweet or whatever your creation or creationS, the better chance you will get to convince me that you’re the best. If you get these same people to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Like me on Facebook etc….the better. Yes I’m a social whore and I totally do that to get some attention.
- I will be more than one winner that will get an extra $100…yes sorry I don’t have the big guy budget so be nice;) How many I’m not sure it will depend on how many participate but at least the top 3 will get something.
- The best part, you have till Monday. When I wake up Monday morning I will go through all your submissions and as fast as I can I will decide. I might get help from some of my folks here. Earlier this week, the SMBroadcast Beta for Windows was updated to version 13! Changes include a new layout and video tweaking options. The SMBroadcast Encoder help page has been updated too, so click here to jump to the feature slideshow for the new layout. The Mac version is still in development, but we hope to have news very soon!

If you use the FMLE (aka, the External Encoder or Flash Encoder), please take a minute to check the “Format” field on the left side of the FMLE Screen. This option should be “H.264” for all performers. You should not use “VP6” because some users won’t be able to see your video.
If you see “VP6,” we recommend you go to the FMLE Encoder help page and download a fresh settings file. Follow the instructions to load and save the settings so they’ll appear every time you load the FMLE. These files were created to work well with Streamate!
We have important news about the TV Broadcast feature. Our television partnership has ended, which means that “TV Broadcast” shows are no longer shown on live television. However, the feature is active and is still a great way to pick up new viewers!
When you opt-in to “TV Broadcast” shows, you’ll receive producer offers while in Party chat. Offers still include a guaranteed goal so you can begin the show as soon as the countdown is over. These shows always appear in the top row of page one! Read the TV Broadcast help page for more details. We’ll be updating this feature with a new name and rules soon, so stay tuned!
If you’ve uploaded images to your gallery in the last few months, we’re sorry if you experienced delayed approval times. We’re happy to report that we’ve fixed the problem and cleared out the backlog. New pictures will now be processed at a normal rate. Please let us know if you continue to see delays!
Experiencing a technical issue? Details about your equipment can make it easier for support to find a solution. Before you submit a request, walk through the steps on the Checking Your Equipment page. Write down each piece of info, or Take a Screenshot you can view later. When submitting your support request, include your operating system (Windows/Mac), and your equipment details. Then describe the problem. Be specific! How many times have you seen the issue? What workarounds have you tried? Add anything that could help support figure out the issue. Screenshots of the error can help too.

Streamate is in the process of developing SMBroadcast, a brand new encoder that all performers will be able to use to improve their video stream. This new program is easy to use, runs on almost any computer, and is capable of crisp, detailed HD video.
The program is still in development but we’re had great results so far, so we decided to let you check it out for yourself! We’re giving everyone early access to the Windows version of SMBroadcast. A Mac version is already being developed, so stay tuned!

As many of you know, the Halloween costume contest was a huge success and we saw a lot of participation! We’re already planning our next few on-site events, starting with a contest to kick off the holidays! One hundred performers will be awarded for participating.
The contest will run during November 28th (GMT). It will begin at 12:01AM GMT and end at 11:59PM GMT. Remember to check when Nov 28th GMT will begin in your time zone!
To be eligible for a prize, you will need to:
- Update your biopic with a festive image for the holidays. Take pictures and upload your new biopics soon to make sure they’re approved before the contest begins.
- Decorate your streaming area to celebrate the holidays in your own way! Your area should stay decorated during the entire contest on Nov 28th (GMT).
Members will be encouraged to vote for their favorite decorations. Members will vote with their Gold; 1 Gold = 1 vote! Gold counts as a vote when given during free chat or during shows. Gold Show pledges (to gain access to a Gold Show) do not count as votes, even if the amount is above your minimum buy-in. But once member are in the Gold Show, any new Gold given counts as a vote! You will be able to see the difference in your earnings. Earnings that say “Gold” count! Earnings that say “Gold Show” do not count.
The 100 participants who get the highest amount of successfully billed Gold votes that day will receive a prize:
- 1st place: $1000
- 2nd place: $800
- 3rd place: $600
- 4th place: $400
- 5th place: $200
- 6-20th place: $100
- 21-100th place: $50
